Unused 1940s Greeting Card - Get Well Card | Boy & Girl with Removeable Plants
Dating to the 1940s or so, here's an unused greeting card to wish someone a speedy recovery. GET WELL QUICK is the sentiment and the graphics are of a girl and boy pulling a cart full of potted flowers. Now when I found this card, in looking at the back, I thought it was a fold out which I thought "cool". It was only while I was typing this description that I have found that it IS NOT a fold out but a pull out - yes, the 4 potted plants pull out to display stakes with written sentiments. The phrases include Lots of Love (red), Everybody Misses You (yellow), Get Well Soon (blue) and Hello, How are You (pink). The card measures 5-3/8" wide x 4-1/8" high. Condition of the front of the card is good with a watercolor look but the pink dress shows a little scuffing; the reverse shows silverfish nibbling. Of course, another back panel can be cut from anything and applied/glued to the back to hide. So pretty. And yes, I managed to find a more modern envelope to fit the card and will include.
