Chenille Christmas Ornament - Santa Claus Riding a Celluloid Swan

Starting with an Art Deco (C.1930) era celluloid swan that needed a little TLC, I decided to add one of my handmade Santa Claus figures (felt, chenille, handpainted clay face BY ME, silver stars, tinsel and loads of clear glitter) taking advantage of a flat back.  Carrying an Art Deco Christmas sticker, the sentiment is "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."  I added a touch of greenery as well as some berries and what you see is what you get - a ONE OF A KIND Christmas ornament.  The swan is set upon a light cardstock, clear glittered base and can sit on a mantel or can be hung from the bottom branches of a Christmas Tree.  Height is 4-3/4" high approx x 3-1/2" wide.  Lightweight.  In case you wonder, from sculpting/painting Santa's face to the final act of covering the piece in glitter, too over 3 hours to create.  It just happens to be something I love to do in the evening while watching TV.  

An original design by me, Robin Yeo and One of a Kind.  Finding VINTAGE celluloid "anything" these days is HARD and I doubt I will find another large swan.
