Carter Boston Ink Pad Empty Box - Christmas Theme | Mistletoe Front

Dating to the early 1900s or so, here's an empty ink pad box from Carter of Boston. Once one of the largest purveyors of ink supplies in the United States, the box I offer was from the Christmas holiday season. The overlay paper depicts a bundle of mistletoe and four leaf clovers - in the background is a pastoral scene, a gent walking in a roadway on his way to a red barn. Size of the box is about 4-1/4" square; depth is 3/4". Very nice condition for its age though there is price tag residue to the bottom and a small section of a Christmas seal to the underside of the top. No tears, breaks, repairs - just a patina of old age. A great display item!
