Antique French Ribbonwork - Red/Blue Floral Applique with Beads

From an old coverlet I found and needing only a few modern touches to bring it back to like, may I offer this 1930s Art Deco French Ribbonwork applique. Composed of 2 maroon coiled roses, the accent florals appear to be blue ombre and red ombre cotton. The center of each is filled with cream colored seed beads. A wired edge green leaf completes the creation. Size is 1-3/4" x 1-1/2". Entirely hand sewn with a crinoline backing. To attach to your favorite piece, either sew on or add a pin to the back - this way, the piece can be detached before your item is cleaned. The ribbon bouquet is quite secure now and is in no danger of falling apart. So hard to find, a true vintage piece of French ribbon artistry.
